My children who are never away from me for more than a couple of hours begged, "Please don't pick us up early from the children's program. We don't want to miss a minute!" They enjoyed the program so much, and I appreciate all of the energy and fun that was poured into them in such a loving and Christian environment. They're begging to come back next year.
My husband and I would not be who we are today (as a couple, as parents, or as a homeschool family) if it were not for Teach Them Diligently. The speakers and resources you have made available to us have encouraged and equipped us to do what God had called us to do.
The refreshment to my soul, wisdom and knowledge in my mind and encouragement to my heart was way more than I had anticipated.
Three conferences ago I accidently bumped into a mom at a booth. I said I was sorry and so did she and we parted ways. That evening I went to get in line for the Moms Night of Refreshment and that same mom was standing in front of me. We started talking and I soon learned that she had recently lost one of her newborn twins to SIDS. Back in 2009 I lost my daughter, Landry, and went through a rough time. When I got mentally and physically well again I told God to use me to help other moms who have lost babies. Keisha and I got to know each other that night back in 2016 and have stayed in contact. Each convention we meet in the vendor hall for hugs and a selfie at the booth we “accidently” bumped into each other at. This year though I got a big surprise because she is pregnant!!!!!! God has redeemed her loss and she waited until TTD to show me her belly! Miracles happen every day and TTD is blessed by God and I am so thankful that I am a part of it even in a small way.
I have been trying to come to an event since you began these and was beyond excited when you came so close to me this year. I booked it when you had the early early bird special in September of 2017 and have anxiously been awaiting May to get here. There were so many good sessions that I needed and enjoyed. I LOVED Heidi St. John and her ability to be so real and encouraging and make us laugh and cry all in the same session. Her desire to equip us for the task and battles that lie ahead was amazing. I would have to say the Mom’s event on Friday night was the icing on the cake for me. It was just what I needed personally as a mom. I loved how special she made us feel and how encouraging she was. It was such a fun and needed night for moms. The refreshment to my soul, wisdom and knowledge in my mind and encouragement to my heart was way more than I had anticipated.
This was my best friend’s first year homeschooling. I had been pestering her about coming to TTD all year. She signed up the week or so before. Our prayer has been that her husband fully get on board with homeschooling. He came to the men’s breakfast Saturday morning and planned to go back to work. We prayed and he went to Israel Wayne’s 1st session. He stayed all day, caught the vision and is on fire for homeschooling! He’s telling everyone he sees about it and why they should be doing it. This same friend was in tears because the Lord led her to all the sessions she needed to hear about her daughter. They hit her right where she was and was just what she needed. Praise the Lord!
