Thinking About Homeschooling?

GettingStarted_square_400

You’ve met people who do it.

You’ve seen reports about it on television.

You’ve read about it in books and on the news.

You may even have a family member who does it.

Homeschooling.

The thought of educating your children at home can be exciting, intimidating, or even confusing and every single homeschooler was in your shoes at one point, asking the question,

How do I get started homeschooling.”

Homeschooling is a wonderful journey filled with joyful moments, discovery, and character growth opportunities- for parents and children.

Teach them Diligently wants to help families with our new Getting Started Homeschooling series and our free Getting Started workshops at every 2014 Teach them Diligently convention.

Lead by Sonya Shafer of Simply Charlotte Mason, our Getting Started series will share practical information on topics like setting homeschool goals and homeschooling styles. We’ll also be sharing encouragement and ways to not only survive the homeschool years, but make it a joyous time for your family.

In addition to guiding you through the basics of getting started, our Teach them Diligently speakers will offer tips and we’ll give you a preview of some of their 2014 sessions.

So join us next week as we begin our Getting Started series and remember to register for one of the four 2014 Teach them Diligently events so you can attend our free Getting Started Homeschooling Workshops presented by Sonya Shafer.

We need your help!

We want to hear from you.  Every homeschool journey is different, it’s what makes homeschooling an amazing opportunity for educating your children! Do you have a blog post sharing how you got started homeschooling? Do you have a nugget of wisdom you wish you would have known before you got started? Please share it with us so we can share your wisdom with the community of future homeschoolers.

Leslie Nunnery

Leslie Nunnery is a homeschool mother, author, and speaker with a heart for helping families build lives centered on Christ. As co-founder of Teach Them Diligently and creator of Heart School, she encourages parents to move beyond academics alone and embrace the deeper calling of discipleship—shaping not just what children know, but who they are becoming. Leslie has authored several books and resources that help families engage meaningfully with God’s Word and apply those truths directly to family life. Through her teaching, she gently calls parents back to the Lord as their first priority, equipping them to lead their homes with intention, prayer, and a vision that reaches far beyond the school years.
