Starr works as a leader in the Community Engagement department within Thrivent Financial Services, a fortune 500 company whose focus is to help Christians be wise with money and live more generous lives.
In her role she serves various communities, nonprofits and churches thru volunteerism and educational workshops. Her passion is to assist in building healthy people, churches and communities. She financially supports educational programs. A favorite Starrism is “Education and exposure are the key. That education and exposure starts off with who created us and why.”
In 2018, 14.4 million volunteer hours were logged, 89,000 service projects were completed, 439 homes were built and 42 million dollars were allocated to nonprofits thru the work of her and her peers around the country engaging with their clients that they refer to as members.
Starr facilitates financial workshops for professional and church groups, pastors, community and non- profits groups from the ages of 8-108 years old thru relevant subject matter.
In her role she also coaches new financial professionals that are building practices.
Starr is married with 4 adult children and 4 granddaughters. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Business and a Masters in Coaching Psychology both from Life University.
