Michael Carpino, born and raised in New York, currently resides in Franklin, TN where he lives with his wife, Shannon, and three children. Before moving, to Nashville in 1999, Michael taught and coached at a school in New York City for four years. While teaching in New York, he received the Coach of the Year award. In Tennessee, he was a coach and taught in the public school system for 10 years. Additionally, Michael has poured into children and teens working with camps for 30 plus years.
Presently, Michael has found a way to blend his passion for camps and teaching as camp director of Camp Electric: A Worship and Rock and Roll Music Camp. Director from its inception 12 years ago, Michael has helped play a role in Camp Electric’s success for disciplining teens to develop their love of music and ministry working alongside some of today’s top Christian artists. Michael’s passion for music and youth has found a place to thrive.
In addition to Michael's work with Camp Electric, he is also involved in many other related ventures such as the K-LOVE Fan Awards.
