John Futch is the creator of Notelife, an online music-learning platform designed especially for families who want music in their home but need a clear, simple path to get started. Coming up on 25 years of teaching experience, John has helped hundreds of students discover confidence, joy, and progress on their instrument—even if they’ve never taken a music lesson before. His friendly, step-by-step approach is built around real family life: short lessons, easy wins, and a “you can do this” tone that encourages real progress and success on the instrument.
John lives in Lexington, KY with his wife Julie and their two kids, Livy and Liam, where he also teaches private lessons and leads workshops for homeschool families, co-ops, and private schools.
