Eric Rutherford longs to see the next generation equipped with the biblical tools and understanding necessary for them to make disciples of their next generation. He started Entrusting the Faith in order to provide a platform for equipping families and churches with these tools.

Growing and faithfully serving Christ and your family does not just happen. Through 20 years of marriage, Eric has learned that continually growing and serving Christ and your family requires intentionality and a willingness to learn from others.

Father to three delightful children, Eric is the author of Leading Well at Home: How Husbands and Fathers Can Biblically Lead Their Families. He earned a Master’s of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently an active member of a local church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he and his wife, Rachel, teach sixth graders and lead a small group. You will often find Eric and his family reading together or having a movie night at home.

We all leave some kind of legacy for our families. The legacy we leave greatly depends on our actions and the course we set. If we ignore Christ’s calling on our lives as a husband and father, we will leave a wake of worldliness that will negatively affect our children and grandchildren. If we pursue Christ and model this walk for our children, we will point future generations towards the gospel.
Even though we cannot provide salvation for our children, we can point them to Christ.
