Encouragement

Be blessed and encouraged as you walk with the Lord and homeschool your children!

Encouragement for Homeschooling

Keep Going Mama written in sidewalk chalk

The cat got out, you are out of milk, you just ran out of paper towels and the baby is crying. Oh, and the WiFi just went out in the middle of your video homeschool lesson.

Some days it seems like things are going haywire. If you are looking for a source of encouragement for homeschooling, get connected to a local homeschool community of other like-minded moms and dad.

You’ll be able to share tips and tricks of the trade and to weather the days that go a little crazy.

Encouragement for Moms

From running the dishwasher, to running the classroom, to running the office, moms have a lot of different roles.

Homeschool moms are a great source of strength and guidance for their children and families, but sometimes moms need a little encouragement.

Encouragement for moms comes from prayer, spouses, friends, and can also be found in community whether it is church or a local homeschool group.

Encouragement for Dads

When you are a kid, you think of Dad as being ten feet tall and able to overcome any obstacle in his path.

As you grow older, you realize that dads are actually human and that they can use some encouragement from time to time.

Prayer is a great way for dads to seek encouragement.

Encouragement for Kids

A hug, a compliment, a smile—these are some of the ways we provide encouragement for our kids.

Another great source of encouragement comes through prayer and asking God for guidance for our children.

Encouragement in Scripture

God’s Word is a source of hope and encouragement for all of us.

As a homeschool parent, there is a wealth of encouragement in scripture like in Deuteronomy 6:5-7:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your strength…Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

Pursuing Encouraging Relationships

When children are homeschooled, we are able to instill hope, confidence, and support in their daily lessons by giving them undivided attention.

This helps to strengthen the parent-child relationship. It is also important to pursue encouraging and supportive relationships with friends, family, and community whether it is a homeschool community, neighborhood, or church community.
