Merry Christmas from Our Family To Yours

Each year at Christmas, our family takes time to create a names of Jesus tree in our front window to help us focus on the true importance of the holiday we’re celebrating. During our evening devotions in December, we would set aside time to meditate on the names and stations of Jesus and how that impacts our view of the entire Christmas season.

Years ago, we found a beautiful set of ornaments that we use for our tree, but they are no longer in production, so this would make a great project for you to do with your children. Create ornaments to go with each of the names of Jesus included on this sheet.

I am also including a super easy Advent reading schedule for your family to use as part of your devotions this month. These passages are short enough that even the youngest can gain a lot from them. With older children, use this time to really explore the passages and talk about how they change our perception of this amazing season when we celebrate that the “Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” How can it be?

(If you’re starting later in the month, don’t worry about the dates on the plan. Just jump in and go through the ones you can.)

Another great resource for your personal and family devotions is the Thanksgiving in the Psalms journals, and I can’t encourage you strongly enough to pick up some copies for yourself and for others this Christmas. Learn more and order yours by going to TransformJournals.com. You can save 10% off your first order if you sign up now.

We hope you enjoy and your family benefits greatly from the resources below!

We’re pray you have a very Merry Christmas and that we get to see you in the new year!
