Stop Window Shopping for a Better Life - Letting Go of Mental Clutter
Our lives are saturated with information these days. Often we find ourselves scrolling through the Internet endlessly and we forget what we are even searching for. It's like we are always looking for a better life out there, and forgetting to live the one in front of us. Our minds are becoming as cluttered as our homes. It's time to focus and weed out the stuff that is hindering our day, our homeschools, and our minds. Phil. 4:8 is a great place to start filtering what we allow into our minds.

Confusion, discouragement and depression seem to be a way of life for many mothers. Life seems overwhelming and complicated. It is a maze of decisions and opportunities. Often discouragement comes from feeling lost along the journey of life. By beginning with what God considers to be the two most important priorities and planning our lives by beginning with that end in mind, life becomes less complicated and our paths become more clear. Learn how to simplify your decisions and your lives by God's guiding priorities.

In the past fifteen years, we've seen a lot of changes in the homeschool community. There is much more pressure being put on homeschoolers to excel academically. We've gone from a few brave moms who, without access to mainstream curriculum:, managed to give their children an excellent education, but we've forgotten what made it excellent.

Finding Fun and Unique Ways to Teach Your Children
When we think of educating our children, we often think of our children sitting at desks or the kitchen table using textbooks and workbooks. While this kind of teaching/learning is enjoyable to some students, most students (and parents!) enjoy breaking out of the more traditional classroom setting in exchange for ideas and activities that are more fun! It is possible to incorporate alternative kinds of teaching and learning into your homeschool, and it doesn't have to be complicated or expensive

Should We Build More Monuments to Robert E. Lee?
People across our nation are trying to pull down monuments of American history that symbolize to them ideas and practices with which they disagree. This has been going on for quite a few years in academia, textbooks, essays, and other media. Confederate General Robert E. Lee, since his death in 1870, has been considered an exemplar to be admired and emulated. He has become the number one target of the destroyers. How should we address this national iconoclasm?

Studies of kids from Christian homes indicate that those who leave the faith later, very frequently traced their doubts and conflicts to their middle school years. How to Simplify Your Homeschooling
Homeschool families tend to bite off more than they can chew when it comes to curriculum choices. We fall in love with all the "shiny and fun" curriculum without coming up with a game plan for how to implement it all. Often times, we need to simplify what we are doing and even (gasp) ditch a little curriculum here and there. This practical workshop is filled with creative ideas on how to supplement what you are already doing and easily plan out a simpler homeschool year.

Reset for Parents
Raising a prodigal is every Christian parent’s worst nightmare. Horrifyingly, George Barna contends that over 60 percent of Christian kids will run off to university and "lose their faith." But there is great news! Your child doesn't have to become a statistic. Your child can become an adult who loves the Lord the same way you do - but this will likely require a radical parenting reset on your part.

Myth-Busting the 'Boxed Curriculum' Stereotype
Challenging everything you have heard about teaching from a complete curriculum: I can't use it for my child with special needs. I can't use any part of it for more than one child. It is written solely for a traditional classroom setting. I have to have a teaching degree to effectively use the teaching materials, etc.

Why Did Paul Make Tents?
The apostle Paul is credited with spreading the Gospel across the Mediterranean world and writing much of the New Testament. Paul was also a tentmaker, which is a trade he most likely learned from an early age. How did Paul use his trade and business as a conduit for sharing the Gospel, and how should this impact the way we use our own skills, jobs, and businesses?
