Did you know that July 1st is Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day? I love summer. Summer is and always has been one of my favorite times of the year. I think it’s because some of my best memories come from the summertime. Whether it be swimming with my family or going out to get ice cream with friends, summer has just always been special to me. Yesterday, I was just searching the web to find less well-known holidays to celebrate with my friends and family when I stumbled on Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day. Ok, but how spectacular is that?!? Weird ice cream has its own holiday! That discovery made me super excited so I decided to compile some of the oddest and most delicious creative ice cream flavors for you to try!
Lemon Poppyseed muffins are some of my favorite muffins. I love the combination of flavors! So once I found a recipe for Lemon Poppyseed Ice Cream I knew I had to include it in this list!
My mom loves coconut and I mean who doesn’t like sweet potatoes? The color of this ice cream especially makes me so interested in trying it out. Apparently the purple sweet potatoes in this ice cream make it brain boosting! I mean if it’s true, I may be eating a lot of this ice cream come exams.
I know this is another lemon ice cream but who can get enough lemon?!?
When I was younger my mom rarely got us sugar cereal like Lucky Charms or Fruit Loops. On the few occasions that we did have lucky charms, I always loved drinking the sugar milk after I finished the actual cereal. (Was that anyone else’s favorite part of eating Lucky Charms?) So immediately after I saw this Lucky Charms ice cream I knew it had to be on this list!
Avocado is such a big flavor now. You see it everywhere! I don’t know how this Avocado Ice Cream is but if you are a huge Avocado fan, this may be for you!
Lavender is one of my favorite flavors. I love lavender in, well, really anything. My favorite drink at the moment is a lavender earl gray latte and it’s sooo good. This is definitely an ice cream recipe I will be trying out on Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day.
- Earl Gray Ice Cream
Anyone else a tea addict? Just me? Ok. Earl Gray is just such a classic when it comes to tea. There are so many flavors but I keep coming back to just a plain earl gray or a lavender Earl Gray. This ice cream looks sooo good and I can’t wait to try it! - Cheddar Cheese Ice Cream Recipe
This may be the most creative flavor on this list. I’m both very intrigued and scared by this flavor.
Growing up my family ALWAYS had tons of trail mix. It was truly the perfect snack for a family as active as ours was. Even though I mainly only ate the chocolate pieces in the trail mix, I think this ice cream sounds delicious and definitely worth trying.
My mom makes the best Cilantro Lime Rice so when I saw a recipe for Cilantro Lime Ice Cream I just knew I would have to try it. Cilantro Lime is such a good flavor combination. I’m very curious to see how it tastes in ice cream form.
