We are all called to teach our children diligently and help them learn to love the Lord their God with all their hearts, souls, and minds. Many of us just aren’t quite sure where or how to start, though, so we wanted to share this reading plan that our family used when our children were younger to help give some structure to your family devotions times.
By using this plan with your family each day for the course of one year, you will read 365 chapters of God’s Word together in chronological order to give your children a better understanding of the continuous narrative of scripture. It is very effective to simply read these passages aloud and spend a few minutes discussing them or allowing your children to note what God spoke to their hearts about. If you would like additional help to guide your devotions time, we have put together a discipleship conversation guide for each day.
Below, you will find weekly discipleship guides that you can download. These weekly guides will become available in 2020 as part of each Sunday Night Email. If you have not yet signed up for our newsletter list, you can do so here to make sure you don’t miss a week.

In the primary download, we have also included a weekly memory verse or passage to help you equip yourself and your children to be families on mission. Your family will be memorizing up to 120 Bible verses this year by employing this strategy, and you’ll be doing it together which will maximize your opportunities to use these passages to teach them diligently.

We pray that this Families On Mission Devotion • Discipleship • Bible Memory Program will be a great help to your family, and that you’ll look back on 2020 as a year in which God did great and mighty things within your family and in your heart as an individual as well.
