Holistic Health Education

Holistic Health Education was written by a mom with decades of experience: teaching “students” from toddlers to parents, fostering and raising 6 kids, earning degrees and certificates for holistic health and becoming a full spectrum doula. The assignments written tap into her lifetime of experience along with her continual education through a variety of resources, backed by scientific data. She believes everyone should always be learning new things because knowledge is power and with that knowledge we can make better choices for ourselves, family and the community/world around us. Her first classes were written with a heart to help kids learn about their bodies so they would experience adolescence with confidence and knowledge to make wise choices. As a result from several intense life experiences she is following God’s promptings to fiercely pursue educating others about holistic health, screen safety and pregnancy, birth and newborn care.

There are a variety of classes for most grades, along with a unique high school health curriculum that encourages students to honestly assess how they treat their bodies and why daily life choices can drastically change their short and long-term health outcomes, both mentally and physically. The online curriculum is customizable so the teacher and student can choose which assignments to do. For those that receive state funds this secular or biblical curriculum covers national standards providing a well-rounded health education, with the exception of gender identity. The nutrition assignments introduce natural holistic health options and alternative practices so students will sharpen their critical thinking skills, with the goal of taking ownership of their health and ponder the possibilities of maintaining optimal health with food and plants! It also provides additional “outside the box” topics for students to explore through a variety of assignment types.

This curriculum also emphasizes mental, emotional and sexual health, including covering the hard delicate topics about the sad realities of exploitation and the detriments of various addictions. It provides tools for the students to bravely confront the stressors and dangers facing so many of this generation’s youth. The curriculum was written with a passion for thorough education for children and to guide parents, and kids, through the challenging realities of the current world we live in.
