Lessons in Soft Pastel: Baby Bluebird

Spring is the season of new life! During this time baby animals born and baby birds are hatched. Let’s celebrate this cute little fluffy bird by painting it.

This workshop is suitable for ages 7 – 18.

Lessons in Caran d’Ache: The Farmhouse

Let your imagination travel to rural farmland as you create this beautiful scene. Learn to capture the impressions with color in this vivid landscape. In this project, Sharon will help students advance their skills using watercolor crayons.

This workshop is suitable for ages 11 – 18.

Lessons in Pencil: Rocketing through Space

We are going to launch our own rocket by drawing it. Students will learn about drawing cylinders and creating the impression of motion.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12 – 18.

Lessons in Colored Pencil: The General’s Horse

Many classic masterpieces depict generals riding white horses. So today, we are going to make a colored pencil drawing of one of those horses.  We are going to have fun creating our masterpiece using many unusual colors so that it has a touch of fantasy!

This workshop is suitable for ages 12 – 18.

Sharon Hofer is a professional artist and teacher. She has taught art to hundreds of homeschool families in the past 25+ years and has made her excellent teaching available online. She has developed a curriculum called “Creating a Masterpiece” that is widely used and loved. She has also authored multiple books including her most recent novel, The Name Changer.
