We are so excited to be returning to Georgia and settling into our new home in Athens for Teach Them Diligently 2020.
As many have come to expect with the previous Teach Them Diligently events in Georgia, this year’s event will feature some of the best speakers in the Christian homeschooling community covering topics that are relevant to every homeschool family.
Returning speakers like Ray Comfort, Hal and Melanie Young, and Ginger Hubbard will be joined by TTD Georgia newcomers Trim Healthy Mama’s own Pearl Barrett and Serene Allison, Dr. Joel Beeke, and others to bring you a workshop schedule in which you’re sure to find more sessions you want to attend each hour than you could possibly get to.
They’ll be covering topics like parenting, academics, homeschool organization, health and wellness, homeschool curriculum, mission, marriage, special needs, and so much more.
The TTD Athens schedule will be released around the middle of April, so stay tuned. Sign up for our newsletter list, so you get informed as soon as it becomes available; and you can start putting together your plan to make TTD Athens 2020 the best weekend of your homeschool year!
At Teach Them Diligently Athens, we desire for your children to make new friends and learn about Jesus in a safe, welcoming, and fun environment. We are excited to have a large group of adults and college students returning this year to work with the children at TTD. Don’t miss out on this opportunity for your children!
Please join us on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. (shortly after the last session of the day ends) for a very special mom’s night celebration! We are working to bring a fun, relaxing, refreshing and encouraging evening your way (probably including snacks, because who doesn’t like to eat while you fellowship together and enjoy an encouraging program?)!
An exciting speaker (TBA) will be hosting the evening and sharing her heart, but the real “stars of the show” will be you moms as you interact with one another, share in the laughter, pray, engage, and fellowship in the way that only mommies can.
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17
Please join us as we break bread (and bacon!) together, and spend our Saturday morning dedicated to sharpening and encouraging one another as we discuss God’s Word and plan for our families.
This year, the theme for our Teen Program at TTD will be Generation of Change.
Description of program: How does God see you? What is your significance? Do others see this significance in you? In this year’s Teen Program we will be asking attendees some of these challenging questions, surrounding their significance, and inviting them “In Christ” to be a part of a Generation of Change.
For nearly 50 years, Teen Mission has been challenging students with the calling that, through Christ, they are to be the change in the culture around them. Join us for a weekend of learning about God, relationship building with other teens and fun!
Title: Generation of Change: What does it look like?
Primary Passage: Psalm 24:4-6
Teacher: Ryan Fast (aka “The Missions Guy”)
Description: We are all unique and different in our own ways. But what does it look like when God tells us to be different? To live unique and holy lives, set apart for His work and to be used for His purpose? What happens when Christ invites us to “be the change,” in a lost and fallen world?
Small Group time will follow the lesson.

Primary Passage: Genesis 37-41, Luke 14:25-33, Philippians 2:5-11
Teacher: Ryan Fast (aka The Missions Guy)
Position: Missionary, Teacher
Organization: Teen Missions Int’l
Description: If Jesus asks us to bear the same cross that HE BORE and the SAME DEATH that he died for us, would it not follow that those who believe IN CHRIST will do so willingly and with great joy because we know that it’s not US but CHRIST WHO PAID THE COST? Another way to think of this question is what does it really cost “us” if we follow Jesus?

Title: Generation of Change: God’s Holiness vs. Our Sinfulness.
Primary Passage: Colossians 1:15-23
Teacher: Ryan Fast (aka The Missions Guy)
Position: Missionary, Teacher
Organization: Teen Missions Int’l
Description: If Satan can’t keep us from believing in God then he will work very hard to get us to act independently of him. Martin Luther describes this “independence” when he says, “though I am saved from sin, I am not saved from sinning.” How does living at the foot of the cross of Christ change us? How does an awareness of both our sin and God’s holiness actually enable a better understanding of His will for our lives?
