We would be willing to bet that you remember the moment when you first decided to take full responsibility for the education of your children. Perhaps it was the example of other Christian parents. Perhaps it was some terrible situation in your local public school system. Perhaps it had to do with the course your reading had taken. Whatever the cause, the adrenalin-fueled jitters kept you going for at least the first two years. And since that exhilarating beginning, you have consistently experienced the sensation of feeling simultaneously encouraged and overwhelmed, knowing that it was totally worth it.

Good Ol Encouragement LOGOS.jpg

In the Old Testament, the people of Israel set up a monument after one of their battles and called it Ebenezer, in order to say “thus far the Lord has helped us.” And He really has — you wouldn’t be here otherwise. In 1 Cor. 15:58, the apostle Paul encourages the saints in Corinth by reminding them that their labor in the Lord is not in vain. The kind of sacrifice involved in educating your children well at home is the kind of sacrifice that the Scriptures call us to. It is a good thing to live this way — my life for yours.

This is all to the good, and so we should be encouraged in the Lord’s promises. At the same time, at Logos Press, we understand that the process is not all rainbows and unicorns. Hard work must be done. Late nights are available for you to stay up in. Textbooks have to be reviewed, and when no good ones are available, new ones have to be produced. For over thirty years, Logos Press has been in the business of developing educational materials for students and writing books on Christian living for families. Check out all the curriculum, homeschool bundles (grades K-6), and Logos Online School (grades 7-12) at your convenience.

What was a trickle at the beginning is a wide river of material now. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have: 800-488-2034.
