Life is a Consistent Roller Coaster Ride

Life is a consistent roller coaster ride. We wait fo years in line. Impatiently waiting for our turn to climb into our seat and buckle up. Finally it’s your turn. As the ride starts, your nerves kick in but your excited. Your ready to conquer… you feel on top of the WORLD!! Your SO high! It’s beautiful up here… and then the drop comes. By this point, you want off the ride. Going back to being a carefree kid sounds so good right about now… but it’s too late. You’re on baby… now you just hold on and GO!

Sounds about right huh?

Yeah, I thought so…

After almost 17 years of marriage and 7 kids, our family has had it’s ups and downs. Happiness, deaths, babies, houses, many firsts and some lasts. During these years, many people have also have come in and out of our lives too.

I can just shake my head at some of the stuff my hubby and I have witnessed. But today, as my family gathered in the living room for our bible study, this verse was brought forth…

” Be self- controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering.” 1 Peter 5:8-9

This verse was also mentioned by Heidi St. John a couple of months ago at the Teach Them Diligently Conference.

A roaring lion…

Looking to devour YOU…

Makes you think about differently about things doesn’t it?

For me, I take this verse personally. Here is God, who has my back and blatantly warning me that someone is out there waiting.to.kill.me!!!

KILL!!

And where will he head first??

My family!

My marriage.

He will rip it to shreds…

which will tear out the hearts of my children…

And when they are down and hurting…

He comes in for the finish.

Right there in black and white….

In the book of Peter.

So, what are we doing about this??

RESIST HIM!

MOMS!! Wake up! FIGHT for your family… FIGHT for your marriage. Pray over your children and do NOT let the Devil have you for his next victim. It pains my husband and I so much to see what has happened to so many people we know. The devastation that surrounds us daily… by things that people have allowed into their home.. he word of God says to STAND FIRM IN YOUR FAITH.

” And the God of all grace will restore you and make you strong.”

1 Peter 5:10.

Life is tough, and life is hard… But God came to overcome the world… and with HIS grace and power we can live victoriously in our marriage, with our families defending what is GOOD and PURE. Don’t listen to statistics or what the majority is doing…

BE the difference.

And stand up and fight viciously for your family with the sword of the spirit….
