Your Homeschool Student Can Have The Advantage of Being A Full Semester Ahead!
Liberty University would like to introduce you to the Homeschool Advantage Program (HAP). This unique plan offers homeschooled juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn up to 14 college credits, in Bible, theology and evangelism before enrolling at Liberty. This program allows homeschooled students the opportunity to be a full semester ahead before coming to college!
Tim Rees, Senior Associate Director of Admissions at Liberty University says, “A family could conceivably use this as their bible curriculum for both junior and senior year or complete it all at once as a jump start for college – it really is up to you since the program is self-paced, you can choose when to complete the requirements. Even someone who is entering their last semester of high school could complete the classes prior to starting school with us in the fall of 2014”.
How to learn more about the Homeschool Advantage Program
The process is simple. Request a packet through the link at the end of this article and complete the paperwork required to begin the program. The documents include completing the undergraduate resident admissions application, submitting a preliminary secondary school transcript (click here for an example), completing a Homeschool Advantage Acceptance Form, and submitting the $250 Confirmation Deposit. All Liberty University students must submit the deposit to utilize additional scholarship opportunities for their intended term of entry.
Once you receive the materials, work through the courses at your own pace. Students will be charged a fee of $100 total to receive test credit for these five courses or any portion thereof:
- BIBL 105 – Old Testament Survey
- BIBL 110 – New Testament Survey
- EVAN 101 – Personal Evangelism
- THEO 201 – Theology I
- THEO 202 – Theology II
After completing each course, a certificate of completion will be provided to the student to be eligible to receive credit for the class. Offering an exceptionally low tuition rate for this block of courses provides a distinctive value to homeschool students and their families. Rees concluded, “At just over $7 per credit hour, if the entire 14 hours are completed, there is no other offer quite like it”.
