St. John, Heidi

Heidi St. John knows homeschooling. With the support of her husband Jay, Heidi has instructed (or is instructing, depending on the child!) her seven children – ages 1 to 21! – all the way through high school. With all this experience comes a lot of knowledge, and the St. Johns are committed to sharing that knowledge with up and coming homeschoolers.

With her trademark humor and grace, Heidi is a popular speaker at conferences across North America. She is also a popular author, writing The Busy Homeschool Mom's Guide to Romance: Nurturing Your Marriage Through the Homeschool Years, The Busy Homeschool Mom's Guide to Daylight, and Words Along the Way, a new journal for moms which emphasizes the joys of journaling through the homeschool years.

If all that didn't keep them busy enough, Heidi and Jay are also the founders and executive directors of First Class Homeschool Ministries. This parachurch organization is dedicated to helping churches start parent-led, Bible-focused homeschool cooperatives that focuses on "the things of first importance" (I Cor 15:3). In operation, since 2000, First Class has over 40 locations across North America.
